Rev. Adolf Baebenroth

Pastor Baebenroth was born on 9 December 1858. He attended Northwestern College in Watertown and continued his studies at the Wisconsin Senate Seminary in Milwaukee, from which he graduated in 1881. His first pastorate was a congregation in Wilson, Minnesota. From there he accepted the call to serve at the Salem congregation in Milwaukee. In 1895. He accepted a call to the service at Saint Peter’s Lutheran in Milwaukee, where he served until 1922. During the time he served Salem, he devolved in Christ Lutheran in Pewaukee. Apparently, his working Pewaukee was confined to planning the first worship facility for the congregation. The church building was dedicated in 1894.

In 1922 Pastor Baebenroth resigned from Saint Peter’s because of failing health. He died on 8 May 1922, and a funeral service was held at Saint James Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
